Emerging and Foreign Animal Diseases
Join us in Chicago!
December 5-6, 2015
InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile
505 N. Michigan Avenue
The 3rd North American PRRS Symposium (NAPRRS) will be held on December 5 and 6, 2015 at the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile. The symposium is planned in conjunction with the Conference of Research Workers in Animal Disease (CRWAD). (www.crwad.org)
NA PRRS Symposium attracts top-notch speakers from universities, industry partners and veterinarians from around the globe. It also includes key research posters presented by some of the brightest minds in animal disease transmission, detection, pathogenesis, diagnostics and much more. Recent symposia have been attended by more than 250 individuals who play an important part in endemic, emerging, and foreign swine diseases. An important focus is on networking and career development for future scientists, clinicians and diagnosticians.
Even though PRRS remains the focus of the meeting, collaborations with USDA NC-229 and CRWAD have resulted in the expansion of the symposium to include emerging and foreign animal diseases, such as porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED), porcine circovirus-association disease (PCVAD), African swine fever (ASF), classical swine fever (CSF) and other high-consequence diseases of interest in the swine virology community. Topics to be covered include disease control in the field, vaccines, pathogenesis, diagnostics, epidemiology and the role of host genetics in disease.
