Join Our Veterinary Family at University Veterinary Care Center!

We're Looking for a Collaborative, Compassionate Veterinarian (Full or Part-Time) to join our high-level privately-owned hospital
Ready to practice veterinary medicine surrounded by colleagues who truly have your back? At University Veterinary Care Center in Topeka, Kansas, we believe great veterinarians flourish when supported by an exceptional team.

Surrounded by Excellence Step into a practice where seasoned veterinarians Dr. Travis Gratton and Dr. Amy Guernsey-Youngblood have created something special. Drs Utt and Snyder are key members of our team contributing their own unique experience and professional focus. You'll work alongside colleagues who genuinely love what they do and are eager to share their knowledge, whether you're looking for mentorship or ready to contribute your own expertise.

A Team That Has Your Back Our licensed technicians aren't just skilled—many have been perfecting their craft here for over a decade. They also have pursued their career interests. They know when you need support, anticipate what you need next, and take genuine pride in excellent patient outcomes. New graduate or veteran, you'll feel confident knowing this experienced team is right there with you.

Room to Learn and Lead Our cutting-edge modalities include abdominal, orthopedic, and soft tissue surgery, regenerative medicine including stem cells, platelet rich plasma and wound management, animal rehabilitation, chiropractic and acupuncture, exotic pet medicine, and dentistry. Your colleagues are here to guide and encourage your growth. Have knowledge to share? This team values what you bring to the table. If you have an interest or passion you would like to pursue we encourage the CE that allows you to do that.

Time and Tools to Succeed With minimum 30-minute appointments, you'll never feel rushed through cases. Our comprehensive diagnostic equipment—from IDEXX lab systems to digital radiography, ultrasound, and surgical and therapeutic lasers—means you can provide the thorough care you trained for, backed by technology that supports confident decision-making. With a commitment to technology, education and collaboration, patient referral is an option but not the norm.

A Culture That Cares This isn't just about the medicine (though the medicine is excellent). It's about working in an environment where your well-being matters, where professional development is encouraged, and where the relaxed yet productive atmosphere helps you be your best professional self.

Patients That Inspire Our Topeka Kansas area families have been trusting us with their beloved pets for decades. From routine wellness visits to complex surgical cases, you'll see the full spectrum of veterinary medicine while building lasting relationships with clients who truly value your expertise.
Growing Together As we prepare to build our new state-of-the-art facility with expanded rehabilitation capabilities, you'll be part of an exciting journey—supported every step of the way by colleagues who believe in lifting each other up.
