A veterinarian who has graduated from veterinary medical colleges, recognized and accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association, who is a resident of Kansas, or who is employed within the state of Kansas, or who may reside outside of Kansas but whose background, professional responsibilities and/or interests (such as a veterinarian who is on active duty in the military, serves in a regulatory capacity, etc.)

Any Active Member who has been in good standing for a period of thirty (30) years and who has attained the age of sixty-five may make application for Life Membership or Active Member who has attained the age of seventy (70), upon recommendation of the Executive Board and a favorable majority of the Association at a regular or special meeting
